My uncle is 63 and he was getting very moody and depressed due to his loneliness. His doctor of 20 years was reluctant to prescribe antidepressants, but my uncle asked for them.
I have to say that he was a lot happier than before. He had some problems with his bladder but other than that he seemed to be fine. He's been taking them for a while now, but in a lower dose than what he used to have at the beginning of the treatment.
End of the story is that he is well and not as moody as he used to be.
I guess that for some people they are a good option.
